MOD 05 / Counter inquiry

Send the list. Get it back in writing.

Send the thread, the length, the grade and the count. We reply in writing with what is on the shelf and what is not, the price basis for every line and when it can be picked up in Austin or shipped. That goes for Grade 8 hex cap screws, stainless fasteners and steel bar cut to length alike.

Parts inquiry

A name and one way to reply, phone or email, is all we need to start. The more of the spec you put in, the fewer questions come back.

Thread, length, grade or alloy, finish, count. For blanks: alloy, shape, size, cut length, pieces.

Prices in the reply are a basis and a figure for that list, confirmed in writing. Nothing is charged by sending this.

Q 01 / Reply

What comes back

A written line-by-line reply: in stock, short, or not carried. Each line carries its price basis, per box of 100, per foot cut or per blank, and a figure for that list. If a size is out, we name what we have instead and wait for you to choose.

Q 02 / Phone

Can I just call?

Call to ask if a line is carried. Prices go out in writing against a written spec, every time. A misheard 5/16 is a wrong 3/8, and a written list stops that.

Q 03 / Quantity

I only need six bolts

Commodity sizes go by the box: 100, or 50 above 1/2 in. If six is truly all you need, a hardware store is quicker. Large diameters and B7 studs are sold each.

Q 04 / Blanks

Cut lists

Give alloy, size, length and pieces. We add 1/8 in kerf per cut when working out stock, hold length within plus 1/16 in, and deburr the ends. The configurator works out total stock and weight before you send.

Q 05 / Returns

Wrong part or short count

Use the form above and pick "Return or wrong part". Quote the lot number from the bag label. The rules are on the returns page.

Build the line in the configurator. It checks grade against finish, works out box rounding, and drops the result straight into this form.
