When these terms took effect

These terms took effect on October 7, 2026, and that is also the date they were last updated. If you sent an inquiry before that date, the written reply you received governs that inquiry. Everything after it runs under the text on this page.

Who these terms are with

The terms are between you and Zavtilo, trading at zavtilo.com, from a parts counter at 46 Market Street, Büro 5, Austin, Texas 82389, United States. Write to [email protected] or call +1 (536) 555-1163. A small counter crew runs the stock, the saw and the replies. There is no reseller or marketplace between you and us.

What this site does, and what it does not

The site is a catalogue. It lists 11 sections of stock: graded hex cap screws, socket head cap screws, nuts and washers, threaded rod and B7 studs, concrete anchors, blind rivets, thread inserts, pins and keystock, steel and aluminum bar cut to length, plate blanks, and assembly consumables. Each line shows sizes, materials and the basis on which it is priced. The configurator assembles a designation and flags combinations that do not exist or should not be used.

The site does not sell, reserve stock, hold inventory for you or confirm a lead time. A size listed here is a size we carry, not a promise that a given count is on the shelf today. Engineering advice is also out of scope. The configurator's notes on thread engagement, galling or embrittlement are shop rules of thumb. They do not replace the designer of record on a joint that carries load.

Inquiry only: how a list becomes an order

Nothing is bought or paid for on zavtilo.com. There is no cart, no checkout and no card form, and we never ask for payment details through the site, the chat or the inquiry form. Any figure you see on the site, including weights and stock lengths the configurator calculates, is an estimate for planning and not a binding quote.

The sequence is fixed:

  1. You send a list through the form, the chat or email: thread, length, grade or alloy, finish and count. For blanks, alloy, size, cut length and count.
  2. We reply in writing with what is on the shelf, what is not, the price in USD, and pickup or freight timing. We do not quote on the phone without a written spec.
  3. You accept that reply in writing. We confirm back. Only then is there an order, and payment terms are set in that exchange, outside this site.

We do not substitute an "equivalent" part without asking. If a 1/2-13 Grade 8 is short and a Grade 5 is on the shelf, you hear about it before anything is picked.

How prices are set

Catalogue pages state a price basis, never a price: per box of 100 or 50 for most fasteners, per foot cut plus a per-cut charge for bar, per blank by size and thickness for plate, per each for B7 stud sets and setting tools, per bottle, can or case for consumables. All prices in a written reply are in US dollars.

A quoted price can change before you accept it when mill or distributor cost moves, when the count, length or finish changes, or when the quote's stated validity runs out. Freight is quoted separately and depends on weight, dimensions and destination. Sales tax is added where Texas or the destination state requires it. Once both sides have confirmed an order in writing, the confirmed price holds for that order.

What you may not do here

  • Send inquiries in someone else's name, or put a contact detail in the form that is not yours to give.
  • Scrape the catalogue at volume, run automated submissions against the form or chat, or try to defeat the spam checks.
  • Probe, overload or attempt to access parts of the server that are not linked from the public pages.
  • Use the chat to send abuse, advertising or anything unlawful.
  • Copy the catalogue text or photographs onto another site and present it as your own stock.

Who owns the text, photographs and marks

The text, tables, photographs, the configurator and the Zavtilo name and wordmark belong to Zavtilo or are used under license. You may print or save a page to keep a record of an inquiry, and you may quote a table in your own shop notes. Republishing the photographs or catalogue copy needs our written permission. Standard designations such as SAE J429, ASTM A574 or ASTM A193 B7 belong to their standards bodies; we only use them to name what a part is.

What is provided as is

The site, its tables and the configurator are provided as is. We check the figures, but tensile minimums, key sizes, drill sizes and weights are published reference values and can carry rounding. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors or always available, or that a reference figure is right for your application.

What a part is gets stated where it counts: on the written reply and on the lot label on the bag, which carries thread, length, grade or alloy, finish and lot. The site names no certification and no mill-cert program, and nothing on it should be read as one. Returns and wrong-part handling are set out in the returns policy.

The limit of our liability

To the extent Texas law allows, our total liability for anything arising from the site or from an order is limited to the amount you paid us for the parts concerned. We are not liable for lost production, downtime, labor to remove and refit parts, or other indirect and consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.

The failure we see most often is a correct part used outside its rating: a plated Grade 8 in a high-cycle joint, an 18-8 nut run dry at speed, a wedge anchor set in a hole drilled oversize. Selection and installation stay with the buyer and the designer.

When access can be refused

We can block an address, close a chat conversation or decline to answer inquiries from anyone who breaks the acceptable-use rules above, sends repeated automated traffic, or uses the chat for abuse. We can also take the site or the chat offline for maintenance without notice. An order already confirmed in writing is not cancelled by a site block; it is handled under the terms of that written exchange.

Which law applies, and where disputes go

These terms, and any order formed through an inquiry, run under the law of Texas, United States. A dispute is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. Before anyone files anything, write to [email protected] with the lot number from the label and what went wrong. Most problems with a fastener order are a wrong count or a wrong length and are fixed in a day.

How changes are announced

When we change these terms we publish the new text on this page, change the effective date at the top, and raise the version code. A change does not reach back into an order already confirmed in writing. If a change is material to people who have an open inquiry, we say so in the written reply to that inquiry.
